Film Treatment

Image
A film treatment is a short overview of what the film is about and where it is set, it has the cast and crew names on to show who is involved, who the characters are, certificate and run time. It outlines the screenplay of the film.

Storyboard

Image
A storyboard is what the directors, producers, artists and writers will draw out before filming begins. It contains each scene and shot down to its most minute detail including audio, mise-en-scene, shot type and scene description. It allows the crew to be able to visualize what the final product needs to look like.

Script

Image
The script has everything the actors need to know. What their lines are and what is also happening during the scene. Also the director(s) and producer(s) will have a copy of this as well as all of the actors and actresses. It is traditionally written in a typewriter font.

Codes of Practice

Image
Codes of Practice are the legal requirements for section of production such as the pay of cast and crew, their holidays, health and safety and data protection. Also, a major legal requirement is permission to film, without this you can be sued leading to other problems. For filming you will need public liability insurance and for Music and Sound FX you will need copy rights and a music liscence.
